Indian markets witnessed a volatile week, ending marginally lower as tariff war anxieties gripped investors. The Sensex fell by 0.27%, while the Nifty50 declined by 0.33%. The last-minute pause on tariffs provided some relief. Sectorally, realty and metal indices suffered, while consumer durables and FMCG sectors gained. Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) sold off equities, but Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs) provided some support. The Indian rupee depreciated by 82 paise, closing at 86.05 against the US dollar. As global economic uncertainties persist, will Indian markets find a stable footing, or are more turbulent times ahead? Only time will tell!
